Systems Developer (Ruby-on-rails exp required)

• Established MNC
• 6 months contract position (renewable)
• Location: Science Park

• The Systems Developer is responsible for working with teams of systems development professionals who design and develop those Operational and Business Support Systems used in the day to day operations
• Provide systems development services in the areas of Operational and Business Support
• Systems delivery.
• Provide technical assistants.
• Perform code reviews and bug fixes.
• Perform independent unit and integration testing, inclusive of test cases and re-creation
• steps.
• Ensure compliance to development standards including strict source control.
• Ensure full documentation of released systems
• Participate in compliance with change management and development guidelines.
• Systematically optimize solutions based on functionality and performance requirements.

Requirements:

Ruby-On-Rails experience compulsory.

Strong and demonstrated experience in Ruby-On-Rails, PHP, SQL.

Practical knowledge of AJAX, XML, HTML, HTTP

Knowledge and experience in developing for UNIX platforms

Strong in SQL Server database technologies

Knowledge and experience in database design.

Min. 2-3 years development experience in medium scale projects.

Experience in several SDLC cycles

BS in Computer Science (or equivalent degree)

Hands and inquisitive in nature and constantly striving for personal excellence

Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Strong problem solving and analytical skills
