Core Network Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• To carry out detailed Core Network Design and other related activities to support project rollout and tender works.
• Perform complete core network design including traffic calculations, interface dimensioning, signaling plan, network topology, resiliency plans, etc.
• Provide the CND-related documents in tenders and participate in clarification meetings with the customer
• Preparation of the Statement of Compliance related to Core network KPI Support Core Three team during customer meetings
• Conduct core network surveys, i.e., visit possible sites in order to judge if they are suitable from a core network point of view
• Prepare documents specifying the traffic profile to be used in the core network design as agreed with the customer
• Write acceptance test documents and participate in the acceptance procedure for the core network
• Coordinate with the Project Management for the implementation of the design of the core network
• Conduct design verification after implementation
• Support the local product managers for the marketing of Ericsson’s wireless systems and services
• Conduct customer presentation to promote N&TC services
• Prepare function and product

Job Requirements:

• Engineering Graduate with experience in Telecommunications
• Good knowledge on circuit core nodes, i.e., MSC, MSC-S, MGW, STP, and HLR/FNR/AUC/EIR, IP Transmission, Core Network Design and Dimensioning
• At least (2) years experience in core network design
• Background on use of Ericsson tools for core network design is an advantage
• Good computer knowledge
• Able to work independently and build good customer relations
• Good written and oral skills in English and preferably a second language
• Good presentation and interpersonal skills
