DATABASE CUM SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Job Duties:

• Plan, design, test, monitor and optimize database management and network systems.


• Administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security, integrity and back-up of database management and network environment.


• Apply operating system updates, patches and configuration changes.


• Handles user accounts and settings.


• Ensure conformance of design and security aspects of DB and OS to COBIT requirements.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering.


• At least 3 years experience in DB and OS administration with exposure to SAN and blade technologies; LAN and WAN settings; Windows OS.


• Knowledgeable in DB2, MSSQL, Domino, Oracle 11g databases; portal platforms (e.g. Websphere)


• Ability to communicate effectively with business users, developers and vendors.


• Must be analytical and systematic with a strong sense of responsibility.
