IT System Engineer

You will be responsible for a number of clients to be their service contact for technical related issues. This will include day-to-day technical support, provide technical advice and to involve in ongoing projects.

You will handle systems migrations, upgrades, installations, imaging, building and maintaining networks. The day-to-day support consists of server and desktop support which includes remote support, server management, dealing with client problems over phone and attending customer sites when required.

Duties and responsibilities

· Installs, tests, and maintains a variety of personal computing and network hardware and software systems, with local area network and wide area network connections

· Assists clients in software and hardware problem resolution

· Logs calls and takes appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory response with acceptable time frames for the clients

· Keeps up to date with current trends and is prepared to make recommendations

· Produces Network and support documentations

· Network infrastructure design and implementations

· Able to produce Systems solutions based on clients requirements

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

· Hands on experience on users support on windows based systems

· MCSE / MCSA in windows 2000/2003 or equitant experience

· 1-2 year experience of providing field based support

· Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server and other Microsoft applications

· Experience of protecting and recovering systems using backup tapes etc

· Able to manage projects professionally

· Experience of working alone and being self-managed

· Proven experience of producing and maintaining technical documentation

· Well-developed problem solving skills

· Knowledge of any scripting languages is a plus

· Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese
