SAP BW Technical Analyst

Working for this Global Blue Chip FMCG Company, this role will form an essential part of the SAP support function regionally moving forward.

Responsibilities

• Administration roll to service requests made to change existing reports or creation of new reports. This will help to support embedding of the BW reporting tool successfully in APAC through creation and maintenance of a great standardised BW reporting suite (workbooks and queries), driving efficiencies and standardisation where possible. As reporting requirements and focuses evolve over time, this role will be key to ensuring the reports are continually upgraded to match these changes.
• Assist with BW implementation projects especially around the rollout of standardised workbooks to new APAC markets and development of any local reporting requirements.
• Maintain global, standardized processes for BW reporting across the region and ensure APAC processes are aligned with Global BW processes.
• Help to support the APAC SSC (Shared Service Centre) for any issues related to process and/or standardised workbooks.
• Provide technical support to Business, training, mini-projects, problem solving

Key Skills

At least 3-4 years working experience in a multinational corporate environment or have had exposure to working with multiple markets and governance models and processes. Should also have had exposure to some of the following areas:

• Must have technical experience creating/amending queries and workbooks within a data warehouse reporting solution, preferably SAP BW. Front end tools BeX Analyser and BI 7.0 Web.
• Preferable to have technical exposure to SAP R/3 (ERP system)
• Preferably has Financial Accounting & Reporting experience (on SAP, BW, a general understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP etc.)
• Must be proactive, have great attention to detail and be willing to learn and also pass on knowledge to others.
• Experience with Shared services process activities would be an advantage
• Process improvement skills would be desirable
• Project management skills would be desirable
• Business consulting skills would be desirable
