Regional Account Manager

The GfK Group, one of the largest market research companies in the world, is seeking an energetic, experienced candidate for a regional role in Asia to effectively service assigned key manufacturers of office equipment, such as laser printers, laser toners, cartridges, paper and other office equipment hardware. Successful candidate will manage these key accounts to ensure overall client satisfaction with GfK data service and market insights (specifically B-to-B and retail sales analysis and product research), thereby ensuring continuous revenue growth for The GfK Group. Position is based in Singapore and APAC travel is required

Regional Account Manager

Key Tasks & Responsibilities


  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key decision-makers within existing and potential clients.
  • Liaise with clients and other GfK offices around the region to ensure commercial strategies are followed through.
  • Construct and follow up all proposals to clients.
  • Understand and maintain all deliverables to ensure complete client satisfaction.
  • Identify potential problems and propose pro-active solutions to meet client needs
  • Handle internal contract-related tasks (offers, contracting, invoicing, payments)
  • Construct and follow up all proposals to clients.
  • Ensure that the quality of the product remains at a very high level.
  • Work with the respective local offices to ensure client satisfaction and continuous revenue growth.
  • Produce market charts and make presentations to key account senior executives.

Skills

  • Good analytical and organisation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Time management, priority setting and co-ordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong command of oral and written communication.

  • Customer focused & customer-facing.
  • Interest and understanding of market analysis is a MUST.
  • Must be comfortable presenting to an audience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to learn new tools quickly.
  • Pro-active and able to deal with all levels of management internally and externally.
  • A good team player who is mature, able to work under pressure, result oriented and also can work well independently.

Specific Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration/Marketing/Statistics/Engineering
  • Candidates with significant experience in the business to business arm of IT hardware manufacturers, IT or Consumer Electronics industry, gained either at client or research agency side, are preferred.
  • Candidates with at least 5 years work experience preferred.
  • Candidates must be fluent in English.
  • Regional exposure would be an advantage.
