Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stage systems activities on stage, & front/back-of-the house & for performances, rehearsals & training
- Exhibit good housekeeping & routine up-keeping of the work area & inventory
- Work with other departments to establish & supervise support personnel & equipment
- Manage & supervise the work of general technicians &
stage crew - Identify hazards & implement safe working practices on stage
Requirements:
- Recognised professional training in related area preferably in Health & Safety
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with advanced stage systems in a technical theatre or live performance environment & minimum 2 years’ experience in managing a support team
- Experience in stage systems technology, handling & maintaining of large scenic elements & stock theatre items & pyrotechnic setting & operation is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with ability to remain calm under pressure
