Contract Analyst/Programmer (Night Shift) – Java / .NET (1 year)

Key Responsibilties:

A contract role exists within the Global Applications Production Support Team for an Analyst Programmer to provide 3rd level support all regional offices globally. The candidate is required to work in overnight shift (shift between 11pm to 8am). The Candidate will be heavily involved with resolution of day-to-day operational issues using problem solving skills as well as design/development skills in a fast-paced environment. This position requires superior inter-personal skills and a desire to work between the IT department and the Business group to achieve mutual goals.

Requirements:

· A university graduate with a degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, information technology or a related discipline

· At least 4 years of experiences in support and development of web and client-server applications

· Proficient in Java, .NET, VBA, JSP, J2EE, SUN, JDBC, XML, Weblogic, CVS, SOAP, database, SQL.

· Hands on experience in JSP, JavaBeans, Servlets, Java and JDBC would be an advantage

· Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills exhibited by efficient monitoring and support of production applications

· Effective planning, communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to interact directly with people of different levels

· Good problem-solving and analytical skills

· Self-motivated and able to work independently, under pressure and proactively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines, under pressure and proactively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines

· Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
