Energy Manager

Responsibilities:

· Develop strategies, planning and negotiate power and feedstock agreements with suppliers and/or utilities for existing and new facilities

• Work with sales / business development team to ensure the incorporation and implementation of Energy Index in sales price formula with regular follow-up

• Work with operations and manage energy contracts to ensure optimization of energy costs for plants

• Incorporate groups’ basic Energy Management processes

• Evaluate and mitigate energy risk

• Develop knowledge of local market conditions and suppliers, monitor market and regulation

• Verify, track, approve and reconcile supplier invoices; report on energy cost results and trends for contracts of responsibility

Requirements:

• MBA/Degree in an Engineering field

• Minimum 3 years experience as energy procurement manager, energy consultant / developer dealing with large buyers’ projects, and / or feedstock procurement manager from chemical / refining companies

• Ability to function in a highly decentralized team environment with minimal internal structure and extensive flexibility

• Ability to formalize business relationships and projects through the written contract; strong negotiation skills

• Theoretical/practical business and financial knowledge generally associated with an MBA or comparable experience

• Ability to travel as needed
