Senior Project Manager- Infrastructure

Position Title: Senior Project Manager, IT Infrastructure

Scope of Work

Project manager for driving major IT Infrastructure or Operations projects or initiatives that require substantial planning & liaisons among teams between Malaysia, Singapore , Hong Kong and LBU.

Qualification and Experience:
• Experience in Life Insurance business, is an added plus
• Atleast 12 years of IT experience with atleast 5 yrs of Project management exp
• Prior experience in administrating mid-range servers (i.e., UNIX, WINTEL) and/or network in a complex data centre environment
• Have experience in managing team size of minimum 5-10 IT managers/ technical resources at regional level projects

Key Accountabilities
• Within context of project management, define, develop and implement a sound IT infrastructure in compliance with best practices and standards, while ensuring the high availability of required infrastructure.
• Accountable for delivery of agreed scope of IT Infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
• Understand business systems requirement and develop optimal implementation approach to effectively deliver the necessary underlying infrastructure
• Control the technical aspects of the project(s).
• Assure the technical quality of the project(s).
• Evaluate new infrastructure development in a rational manner that is commensurate with the existing direction as set by the organization, and implement new infrastructure with knowledge and understanding of customers’ business requirement.
• Ensure decisions are in-line with Client"s IT technical strategies.
• Resolve IT-related issues and change requests.
• Manage the IT resources for the project.
• Ability to multi task across a range of regional program initiatives, and put in place appropriate project managers as necessary
• Able to create Detailed Project Plan (scope, schedule, budget). Apply best practice project management methods and tools to projects assigned.
• Develop project definition documentation, scopes with work breakdown structures, and requirements trace-ability matrix for IT project(s).
• Experience in projects of medium/high complexity with regard to level of risk, multiple geographies, multiple business or lines of businesses and multiple stakeholders.
• Responsible for managing the requirements, system Infrastructure specification, design, development and integration of systems, and infrastructure architecture of the IT solution for its implementation.
• Produce PARs and project cost/benefit analyses in conjunction with stakeholders & sponsors, and carry out due diligence to ensure that infra requirements and costs are properly reflected and communicated before work commences
• Provide timely reporting on issues & status across the entire project portfolio
• Ability to differentiate between BAU (business as usual) and CTB (change the business) requirements, ensuring the latter result in project code creation, PAR preparation, and requisite sign off / approval.
• Strong leadership communication skills with excellent customer relationship with the ability to influence key stakeholders or management
• Develop project definition documentation, scopes with work breakdown structures, and requirements trace-ability matrix for IT project(s).
