A newly created position has become available for a strong project person to implement change management initiatives across Accounting and Finance for an International Bank.
The stakeholders that you will work closely with include Product Control, Financial Controlling, COO, Global Regional Heads of Finance, Operational Risk Management, CFO.
The department acts as a critical link between IT and Finance and works closely with product control departments supporting a Global Business for fixed income, equities, alternative investments and Investment Banking.
As part of the project management team, your role will work closely with the senior managers in finance to implement change. The purpose of this department is to review processes across the entire Banking Operations to improve efficiency and economies of scale.
The approach that the business would like you to take is to manage projects ideally using 6 sigma methodology ensuring quality and productivity is consistently improved and work with the business to track and measure performance and effectiveness of the department.
Main responsibilities
Identify gaps for achieving improved performance
Have worked in a matrix style reporting and proven experience in delivering large scale projects such as working on migration or deployment of functions
Produce reports for senior managers
Track projects
Ideal background of the individual would be either six sigma trained or from a strong financial accounting, product control background who has delivered projects.
