International Accountant

Job Description

• Closing of monthly accounts for various entities in compliance with US and local generally accepted accounting principles and local regulatory rules, statutory reporting and tax filings.
• Monitor and control intercompany transactions, verify accuracy and validity.
• Prepare and execute multi-country financial statement consolidation in accordance with GAAP.
• Stay current on recent FASB and IFRS pronouncements.
• Record, reconcile, analyze and report accounting and financial information used by management.
• Ensure finance operations and internal controls are in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure all monthly and quarterly accounting close requirements are met.
• Interface with the internal and external auditors, tax agents and lawyers.
• Monitor, analyze and reconcile related general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Perform financial analysis as appropriate
• Actively participates in Oracle system project upgrade.
• Provide support to any other duties and projects as assigned, including process improvement project.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy/ACCA with CPA qualifications.
• Minimum of five years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of local generally accepted accounting principles in Asia
• Solid consolidations and US GAAP experience.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance requirement.
• Knowledge with Oracle and/or other ERP systems.
• Financial accounting experience and general knowledge of sales and manufacturing operations and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), Access database,
• Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese, knowledge of another Asian language will be an added advantage
