IT Security and Availability Consultant

Duties

The expected duties of this role are as follow:

To carry out projects such as:
Install and Configure Symantec Security and Availability products such as SEP, ESM, SMS, SSIM, CCS, EV and NBU at customer site
As lead Consultant for the assessment workshop that gather critical data for the implementation
advise customer on security or availability best practice based on vendor’s methodology
To be trained in products assigned and certified for delivery
To carry out Proof-of-Concept for customer
Lead, mentor and guide junior consultants if applicable
Play the role of Project Manager and carry out necessary planning and coordination to meet customer expectation of the project
To troubleshoot problems surfaced during implementation
Work closely with vendor’s technical help desk to resolve implementation issues
To support presentation of solution and proposal writing if necessary
Travel within South East Asia and Korea regions



Qualification
Diploma in Computer Science or Degree in Information Technology or Information Security will be preferred
About 3-7 years exposure in IT Security or Availability solution
At least 3 years implementation experience in projects involving either Security or Availability products under Microsoft or UNIX platform
Good understanding of TCPIP, Internetworking, firewalls, IDS and IPS
Technical experience in one or more of the following is a must:
Database: Oralce, Sybase or MS SQL
OS: MS Windows, SUN Solaris, AIX or HP-UX
Preferably having experience with two or more of the following Symantec/Microsoft products:
Veritas Netbackup (NBU)
Netbackup Puredisk
Veritas Storage Foundation
Volume Manager (VM)
Enterprise Vault (EV)
Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP)
Symantec Enterprise Security Manager (ESM)
Symantec Mail Security (SMS)
Control Compliance Suite (CCS)
Symantec Network Access Control (NAC)
Microsoft Exchange
Microsoft SQL


Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to speak English fluently(able to speak mandarin is an advantage)
Able to write proper English (able to write chinese is an advantage)
Able to manage customer expectation
Prepared to learn new technology within short timeframe.
Able to travel overseas
Certification in CISA, CISSP or any Veritas products is an advantage
Can carry out work without supervision
