UIC Asian Computer Services Pte Ltd (UICACS), a subsidiary of UIC Technologies Pte Ltd, provides a wide range of IT solutions and services to both the public and private sector. Due to the expansion of our business we are looking for suitably qualified individuals to join us as:

Service Engineer (6-months contract, renewable)

Working hours: 8.30am to 6pm (Mon – Fri)

Location: Shenton Way

Job Functions:

• Responsible for the support of the company’s Network, File Servers, Security Access, Telephone Systems etc
• Support in the setup and maintenance of the website / web-server / intranet
• Help to develop IT Security Policies for internal and external clients
• Provide System Hardware recommendations, and support project implementation and system maintenance

Software Applications hands on experiences and knowledge:

• Windows XP, Vista , 7, Windows 2000, 2003, 2008
• MS SQL and MS Access Database
• MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Power-point, Front-page, Outlook, Live Mail, Outlook Express, Antivirus, Internet Explorer, Burning software
• Other support such as video conferencing, VOIP and Skype
• Hardware support such as scanner, printer, plotter, copier, switch, router, UPS, servers, CD/DVD writers, multimedia equipment, projectors, etc.
• Knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash Player and SharePoint

Requirements:

• NITEC/Diploma in IT, Computer Science or equivalent, with min 2 years of relevant experience in desktop, customer and end-user support environment.
• Good understanding of Windows Server 2003 administration, AD and Group Policy Management, Storage and Networking environment
• Hands on installation, configuration and setup of networking devices such as Cisco routers, Firewalls, VPN, and W-LAN Technology
• Knowledge of Blackberry and MS Exchange is an added advantage
• Singapore citizens and PRs preferred
