IT Engineer (Systems)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installating, maintaining and upgrading of servers
• Perform daily system admin ensuring servers are backed up and data is secure from unauthorised access
• Capable of giving hardware support for printers, monitors, desktop PCs, laptops
• Problem management (analysis for frequently occurred incident - solve root cause)
• Testing new software, Windows patches, configurating applications, problem management, analysis of frequently occured incidents
• Design network structure (including configuring hardware devices)
• Research the latest industry security practices and technologies as well as emerging threats and vulnerabilities
• Constantly analyze, review and maintain the IT security baseline required by performing risk and vulnerabilities assessment to ensure the balancing of the resources available and the requirement of sufficient security measures
• Manage or participate in new setup or upgrade of systems
• Participate in IT audit and DRP
• Monitor network and system utilization

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Engineering
• MCSA, MCSE preferred
• IT technical skills (network, server HW, server operating system and application, active directory, hardware and software support)
• Experience in VMWare, Lotus Notes and other email system would be added advantage
• Experience in managing network and systems environment that are based on the Windows operating systems
• Understanding of operating system hardening, vulnerability assessments and technical security compliance evaluation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work and communicate with all levels of staff
• Analytical problem solving skills and customer oriented
