System Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION – The System Engineer will install, maintain, and troubleshoot Desktop application and Operating system issues remotely across multiple offices. In addition the engineer will also be required to perform basic administration task on the Windows Server environment. These tasks will include changing tapes and modifying backup jobs, adding user to active directory and modifying group policy settings, adding mailboxes and distribution list, performing regular exchange maintenance, and creating profiles on our Cisco Call Manager phone system. In addition to supporting employees in China, the Engineer must support employees in Switzerland. Therefore, the candidate must have an advanced level of English (spoken and written).

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS (At least 3 years)
· To qualify for this position candidates must have at least three years of experience in Microsoft Exchange (2000 and 2003) and Active Directory administration
· Work with Group Policies
· Install Hardware and Operating systems with Windows XP and Windows 2003
· Follow a detailed schedule of system backups to ensure data/media recoverability through proper administration of offsite storage and retrieval services
· Monitor performance problems, tune operating system and hardware for optimal performance and general troubleshooting of operating systems
· Experience with troubleshooting Office 2000 and 2007 application issues
· Enterprise Antivirus Solutions

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS
· Fluent English (Advanced level)
· Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly.
· Able to Remotely support other offices
· Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
· Proven analytical/problem solving ability
