Job title: Software Engineer

Job responsibilities:

Software development, testing in Java/J2EE for Enhancement and Development projects.
Design and maintenance of database systems in projects.
Deployment and maintenance of applications.
Work both as a team member and individually to deliver projects on time.

Work Experience/Background:

Diploma or degree in computer Science / Engineering / IT, CS or related
Experience in an IT application support team and/or support process
Understanding of the full software development lifecycle
Minimum 3yrs relevant experience

Technical/Business Skills & Knowledge:

Essential

Very Strong troubleshooting/analytical skills
Excellent Programming experience in Java/J2EE,
Expertise with Frameworks - Hibernate, JSF, Spring etc
Strong SQL skills (preferably MySQL, Oracle)
Experience in J2EE application deployment in JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic
Highly self-motivated with a can-do attitude
Excellent communication skills with ability to work in teams

Desirable

Exposure to logistics and supply chain/Warehouse management systems
Unix scripting ability
Experiences in logistic application specifically container yard system will be an added advantage
