Software Engineer - JAVA

Position 1:

Multifaceted software development position requiring in depth knowledge of several platforms and programming languages. Position encompasses development of a productivity tool for IBM server platform written in Java/Eclipse RCP. Candidates would initially be involved in the main development stage of both code and scripts. Strong skills required in Java with Ant and Eclipse RCP development experience a plus. Qualified individuals must be self directed, organized, fast at picking up new concepts and understand/comply with why and how one writes applications which are maintainable with good documentation & javadoc.

Skills:
Java including one of the ff: SWT/JFace/Swing
Ant

AIX/UNIX/Linux or WIndows
Eclipse RCP build and deployment process

Solid verbal and written communications skills



Position 2:

Software engineering position requires in depth knowledge of object oriented programming concepts and relevant experience in object oriented programming languages. The incumbent will be part of the development team involved in designing and modeling for existing customization solution related to IBM server products. The incumbent should be very strong in core Java programming, familiar with DB2, JDBC, with very good algorithm & programming logic, problem solving skills,very strong in Object Oriented, UML, XML, Design Patterns, ability to cope in a fast pace environment, flexibility/adaptability to work with Global team around the world with different time zones. The incumbent is expected to work on his/her own initiative within a team environment and to provide problem resolution innovatively. Hardware knowledge in IBM server products will be a plus point.
