Repair Shop Manager

Duties:
1. Works closely with GM, Global Repair Services to develop the yearly budget forecast to support the regional repair support activities
2. Plan and provision for office accommodation and facilities appropriate for the work
3. Ensure that the facility is staffed by suitably qualified personnel and that they are provided with the resources to perform their duties
4. Working with the department heads and the support of Human Resource establishes a development plan to update and upgrade the skills and knowledge of all staff to enable them to continuously provide high quality of services to our customers
5. Work closely with his staff and other departments to resolve customers’ issues promptly and to drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction
6. Responsible for the selection, hiring and development of all personnel under his care
7. Oversees the activities of Repair Coordinators. Through regular contact with customers, understand and anticipate their needs to ensure that their requirements are satisfied
8. Liaise with the appropriate departments to ensure that the repair shop introduce new product capability in a timely manner to support the customers in the region.
9. Ensues that the inventories maintained at the facility is optimized for the activities carried out and that they are managed in a manner within the regulatory and company requirements
10. Ensures that the activities carried in the facility are in compliance with the airworthiness, Workplace Safety and Health and other applicable regulations.


Attributes/Qualifications Required:

1. Tertiary education in engineering or equivalent with 5 years experience in supervisory position in the field of aerospace repair
2. Resourceful, strong in communication and people management skills
3. Good understanding of aerospace repair shop operations
4. Should be a team player and one who believes in empowerment
5. Resilient, change oriented and one who sees changes as opportunities
