Software Applications Engineer (IBM Trivoli/Netcool)

Responsibilities:

* Deploying IBM Tivoli/Netcool Impact & Precision products.
* Developing & testing IBM Tivoli/Netcool Impact policies and probe rules.
* Developing, integrating and maintaining IBM Tivoli/Netcool products with in-house & third party tools.
* Documenting IBM Tivoli/Netcool Omnibus, Impact and Precision deployment.
* Providing tier 3 support to our system integration group (Which could be outside business hours)

Requirements:

* Two to Five years experience in IT (System development, deployment and operation support)
* Good working knowledge of Unix and Linux environments.
* Good troubleshooting skills.
* Comfortable with scripting languages such as Perl, TKL, shell scripts etc.
* Experience with administration, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching and customization of IBM Tivoli Netcool
* Familiar with protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP
* Experience in monitoring networks.
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and also as a team player.
