Opportunity for someone outside of financial services to BREAK IN
– exposure to different end users – opportunity to join a truly

This is an opportunity for an excellent software developer to
play a key role in the development of an innovative, enterprise
class real-time equity trading system. Be a major contributor
towards the design, development and deployment of large-scale
distributed financial application.

System is written in C++ (Several years hands-on C/C++
Development Experience), Oracle PL/SQL and Solaris/Linux
platforms.

Solid Understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Modular/
Object-Oriented design

Must have working knowledge of Systems Programming (e.g. threads,
sockets)

There has been internal mobility within the firm – people moved
into other business areas … overall, tremendous opportunity

Seek Database skills. – Oracle preferred

Wants a "go getter" -- get into the core of the business -
understand the business and how to support them better - can work
independently.

Unlike most software environments, all of our development is new
and carefully organized as a fine-grained, highly modular,
meticulously documented, and thoroughly tested repository of
physically sound software.

Moreover, this thoughtfully factored, well-organized
infrastructure is developed using state of the art tools,
methodologies, and techniques developed in-house.

Ideal candidate will posses a Master's Degree in Computer
Science, Engineering or Related Field (or equivalent expertise)

- 50% back end/50% front end (GUI applications for internal users).
- C++ on Front end and Back end (main applications on UNIX)
- Focus on problem solving
