Primary Responsibilities:

The Sr. SQA Manager is responsible for managing a team of Software
Quality
Engineers in the test automation and online systems QA team for Intuit
Accounting Professionals Division (IAPD). Responsibilities include:
• The tactical and strategic execution of test automation and
performance
testing strategies for business unit desktop and web based products and
systems
• Leading QA teams through all phases of QA activity in SDLC
• Initiating, developing and driving the adoption of product and
process
improvements throughout the development lifecycle
• Participating in cross-functional testing activities
• Effectively working with non-technical staff including senior
product and
business management

Requirements:

• 5-7 years in SQA and Software Development
• 3-5+ years in QA Management
• 3-5 years in Test Automation development and strategic
implementation
• Experience with Software Process Improvement in large corporations
• Experience with executing software projects through the complete
software
engineering process.
• A comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Process
and QA
best practices and methodologies
• In-depth understanding of the perspectives and needs of the
customers the
owned software components support.

Desired Technical/Functional Skills
• Understands object oriented software development using programming
languages such as C++, Java, or C#
• May participate in the inspection process for any type of project
deliverables, including code
• Effectively Influences others to insure appropriate levels of
quality on
owned deliverables(s)
• Participates in root cause analysis for defects and provides
process
improvement suggestions to eliminate future occurrences of similar
defects

Desired Test Design / Construction Skills
• Able to mentor Test Engineers to create high quality, thorough test
cases
that fully exercise product functionality, but consume minimum
resources
• Understands test automation and is able to construct automated test
strategies, using industry Best Practices in the design

Desired Test Execution Skills
• Understands and can interpret the results of manual and automated
tests at
both the application program and user interface layers
• Understands industry best practices and recommends where and when
to apply
them on both an immediate, and long-term basis
• Drives the institutionalization of product and process improvements
throughout the organization
