Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out measurement, valuation, and cost planning/control to ensure that a realistic estimate of the project cost is agreed and complied with and a project that is cost effective throughout its life.
- To help in preparing tenders for the submission to clients.
- To prepare and evaluate tenders in respect of subcontracts for works and services.
- To carry out value management in order to deliver the project functions to the required quality for the best value for the money expended and to reduce unnecessary costs.
- To provide contractual and commercial advice for the selection of the appropriate standard forms of contract, drafting of special conditions and forms of contract, warranties, bonds and guarantees and the interpretation thereof.
- To assist in main contracts and subcontracts administration, cost reporting, valuations of work in progress, measurement, assessment of rates and variations, preparing interim payments and final accounts.
- To assist in preparing contractual claims, counterclaims for both time and money and settlement the claims with clients and subcontractors.
- To make timely reports to Management on financial status of projects and to propose remedial actions where required.
- Possess a University Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with at least 5 years working experience in quantity surveying practice and/or E&M works contracting.
- Possess good technical expertise, financial evaluation techniques and contracts knowledge. The technical aspect includes the quantity surveying practices, valuation, cost planning, and contract administration to manage major business projects. Experience in E&M engineering works would be a definite advantage.
- Be good team player to make contribution to meeting the branch targets in revenue, profit, costs planning and control, tenders estimation, quality, customer services, safety and environment.
- Be customer oriented, business acumen, performance driven, innovative and be able to meet or exceed the expectations of major stakeholders
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Valid driving license and construction safety card.
