MECHANICAL ENGINEER Intevac Asia Pte Ltd

Reports to: Design Engineering Manager

Job Responsibilities:

* Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures.

* Interface with external customers as well as internal customers and vendors on technical and service related problems.

* Effectively convey ideas and technical observations to resolve engineering issues.

* Strive for root cause analysis, identification, and long term fixes in every engineering activity.

* Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues.

* Coordinate and liaise with Vendors, Suppliers and Contractors as required.

* Assist in procurement process for technical products.


Requirements:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science with Minimum 3~5 years experience in high vacuum systems or magnetron plasma generation equipments.

* Diploma holders with more than 5 years experience will also be considered.

* Excellent troubleshooting capabilities

* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

* Good command of verbal and written English.

* Software experience in Siemens PLC and Visual Basic will be an added advantage.

* Exposure to Manufacturing Environment for Equipment Build and Installation, especially in Vacuum Technology

* Understanding and implementing of LEAN Manufacturing Concept

* Understand Engineering Change Order and application use of Agile
