Oracle Database Administrators (DBA)

Based in our Singapore office @ 205 Kallang Bahru, the Oracle Database Administrator will work with functional/technical teams and consultants to fulfill the following:

Responsibilities:

*
determine database support needs and requirements
*
provide development, support and administration of Oracle databases by tuning, indexing, sizing, and debugging to ensure that quality and standards meet defined expectations
*
coordinate Oracle updates, fixes and upgrades with Infrastructure support teams
*
support development efforts of technical application analysts and programmers
*
support system maintenance work as required

Requirements:

*
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
*
3-5 years experience as an Oracle DBA to include performance tuning, backup/recovery, application deployment, file system/directory management and security, coursework in Oracle database administration
*
experience working with Win 2k Server, Sun MS’ Solaris, AIX and/or Linux system administration is highly desirable
*
possess exceptional attention to detail
*
excellent trouble-shooting and customer service skills
*
solid written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a wide variety of customers, outside consultants and vendors across international timezones
*
demonstrate ability to translate needs analysis data into technical designs
*
good organizational and leadership skills
